Name: Elaine Grogan

Qualification’s = CrossFit Level 1, Weightlifting Level 1, and is currently in her third year of Sports Rehab & Athletic Therapy.

Age: 23

Elaine is currently in third year of Sports Rehab & Athletic Therapy in IT Carlow, has CrossFit Level 1 and is currently in the process of completing Weightlifting Level 1. 

Favourite Exercises: Clean & Jerks and Deadlifts. 

Least favourite exercise: Front Squats & Thrusters. 

Favourite food: Pasta Carbonara and garlic bread. 

Elaine is currently focusing on her Olympic Lifting and competed in Intervarsities last week with plans to compete again in May.

Name: Trisha O Reilly

Qualification’s = BA(hons) in Exercise & Health Studies, Weightlifting level 1, CrossFit Level 1

Age: 23

Trisha has a BA in Exercise and health, CrossFit Level 1 and a Weightlifting Level 1.

Favourite exercises: Front Squats and Cleans.

Least favourite exercise: Bike and Mountain Climbers.

Favourite food: Pizza – Meatza from slice with sweet chilli mayo.

Trisha is also a proud dog owner who enjoys cleaning and organising.

Name: Jamie Knox

Qualification’s = BA(hons) in Exercise & Health Studies, Weightlifting level 1, CrossFit Level 1

Age: 22

Jamie has a BA in Exercise and Health Studies Weightlifting level 1 and CrossFit Level 1.

Favourite exercises: GHD Sit Up & Snatch.

Least favourite exercise: Deadlift.

Favourite food: Cereal.

Jamie also enjoys playing the occasional junior hurling match.

Name: Eamon Cullen

Qualification’s = BA(hons) in Exercise & Health Studies, Weightlifting level 1, CrossFit Level 1

Age: 34

Eamon has a BA in Exercise & Health Studies, Weightlifting Level 1 &CrossFit Level 1.

Favourite exercises: Ring muscle ups, Squat snatch, Bike.

Least favourite exercise: Plank Holds.

Favourite food: Pizza with pepperoni and jalapeños.

Eamon enjoys going for dinner and drinks with friends, visiting family back home in Wexford as well as competing in CrossFit events all around the country.

Name: Tony Sullivan

Qualification’s = BSC in Sports Coaching & Performance, MSC in Sport & Exercise Psychology, CrossFit Level 1, Weightlifting Level 1

Age: 30

Tony has a BSc in Sports & Performance and most recently completed a Msc in Sport & Exercise Psychology.

Favourite exercises: Bike, Prowler & Thrusters.

Least favourite exercise: Ring dips.

Favourite food: Thai green curry + Chips x2.

Tony likes to try his hand at many different sports and is currently training for the Paris marathon in April.

Name: Jay Walsh

Qualification’s = BSC in Sports Coaching & Performance, MSC in Sport & Exercise psychology, CrossFit Level1 , IWF club coach, Weightlifting Level 1

Age: 30

Jay has a BSc in Sports Coaching & Performance, Weightlifting level 1 / IWF Club Coach, CrossFit Level 1 and is currently studying an MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology.

Favourite exercises: Back Squats & Ski Erg.

Least favourite exercise: Mountain Climbers.

Favourite food: Pizza.

Jay also enjoys challenging himself by trying new things out of the gym such as Triathlons and most recently Jiu-Jitsu.
